St. Faa is Not a Street But a Little Madeline
Mono screenprint on paper
In April, I took a trip to an island called Staffa (Stafa in Gaelic). Slowly, the past separated into three realms: Stafa the island, my memory of the Stafa, and my reconstruction of Stafa.
St.faa is a place that is no longer Stafa, but it has not yet become a street with a beginning and an end, it is a the wasteland. Each print is a fragment, a little madeleine, an entry point to the dead past.
