The hours: 23 pieces of passing time
2021
Knitting pieces, 23 pieces;
tear-off pad, 48 pages
I believe in the power of being small instead of being big. I believe in the power of being quiet instead of making noise. I believe in the power of healing instead of justifying. I believe in the power of the unremarkable, unspeakable, the soft, gentle and ephemeral.
From Feb 24th, 2022, I started to knit one sentence every day, as a personal ritual. The sentences come from my personal experience of that day, such as what I see, what I heard, what I read, what I feel. By knitting, I aimed to elevate every daily ephemeral experience into a piece of artwork. The sentences stand for themselves, at the same time, embodied my wandering souls.
So here I am now, standing, solidly on the ground, with arm and feet. And every moment, I can feel.
